I was diagnosed at 16. Multiple ultrasounds/ bc pills/ even a d&c. I've been doing GREAT working out and eating right! Lost about 100lbs, with help.
Then, I started the abnormal periods again. The pain. The nausea. last Tuesday I had an ultrasound... Covered in cysts, and my right Fallopian tube is filled with fluid. I have to have surgery and possible have the entire right tube/ ovary removed. IM ONLY 23! I'm in constant pain now. I'm exhausted and it hurts to move...I'm upset and down as heck! I need help not to give up and completely lose it guys!! I still have goals and extra skin to tighten and tone. I don't want to backslide.
Feel free to add me as well!

Oh my! I am so sorry. How frustrating and disheartening this must all be for you. HUGS!
You said you lost weight, but with help. What kind of help? What was your diet like? Carbs seem to make our hormones go all wacky, so a Low Carb High Fat diet might help your symtoms. Do you know if you are estrogen dominant? If so, using Vitex and/or a progesterone cream can help even out the hormone levels, but if you are having these kinds of problems, maybe going in to see an endocrinologist who specializes in PCOS can direct you better. Are you insulin resistant? Have you tried Metformin or Inositol?
Dont give up. It gets worse, not better, with more weight and a worse diet. Keep up your routine the best you can, and always you can vent here when you need to.0 -
Pcos is a pain. The lovely acne, abnormally heavy bleeding and pelvic pain is a real "joy". I usually do better when my weight is down but right now I'm having trouble with weight fluctuation.0

The acne, heavy bleeding, pelvic pain, along with clots and extra long periods are all usually attributed to high estrogen and often compounded by high insulin levels. If you are having the heavy periods, I'd very strongly recommend you ask your doctor for a fasting INSULIN level. It is a quick blood test after you fast for 12 hours.
I had horrible periods, overflowed the overnight pads 2-3 times a day for the first 3-4 days and lasted 8-10 days. TMI but overflowed like running down my legs had to strip down and take a shower and didnt leave the house ever when I was in my first 3-4 days of a period. I also had horrible clots, like huge roma tomato size ones along with a bunch of smaller ones. And cramps so bad I could bairly move. Heating pads and Motrin at 800mg strength every few hours and I was still in so much pain.
I read thru the threads here and realized i might have Insulin Resistant PCOS and got the fasting insulin test along with my A1C and glucose tests. The insulin was very high, on a scale of 1-20 i was at 42 if I remember correctly. But the A1C and glucose tests were spot on normal. So I started Metformin and Inositol.
My insulin if I am not doing Keto diet is right near 20 still but OMG my periods are so much better. No clots, they are about 5 days long now, havent overflowed one single pad in over 8 months, and am even wearing non-overnight pads now. Dont even have to use the Motrin anymore. It is amazing!!
So I cant stress enough to see what you can do about getting your INSULIN levels tested. If your insulin is high, it makes your estrogen higher which causes the problems with the thick uterine lining and those horrible periods.
My pelvic pain is less, but still not gone. But is much better.
ETA: I know when Ive been eating bad and my insulin is up because my periods come back painful and heavy.0
