So my husband bought some donuts. I said I was not going to eat but I gave in. I do not want to sabotage myself, so I need advice-do you have a any suggestions?

That's tough. Can you feel satisfied working one in to your calories? Or maybe try to put it in your head that they are his donuts, not yours (that's what I used to do when I lived with someone, but tougher with your husband, since you share all food, I imagine).

If it was really hard I might have one or half of one and ask him to take them to work the next day.

So I can fit one in but I have a hard time eating just one. But I will try telling myself that it's his donuts. No need to sabotage myself. Thanks

I am like that with some things. I know I have a hard time eating just one. So I make myself a little reward/punishment for the item. Like if I know one donut will fit in then allow yourself the treat. And as long as you only have one then give yourself a little reward tomorrow for sticking to your plan either something that you want that will fit into your calories or I even give myself a small shopping reward for something I have been eyeing. Nothing big but I usually use that to keep me in line since I don't do it often.

If I fail like last week when I ate the entire box of Thin Mints in 2 sittings! I will then make myself do an extra workout or something that I have been putting off because I hate doing. This time it was extra time at the rescue and also doing a top to bottom scrub down of the bathroom. Literally even wiping down the ceiling.

Someone brought donuts in at work one day. I really hate donuts so it's not hard to resist for me, but they insisted I take one. so I did and got a napkin and smashed the donut. The grease just squeezed out of it, I said, I can't put that in my body, but thanks anyway. They never forced another donut on me again.

I love this, I will definitely be borrowing the idea.

My boss brought cakes, pies and chocolate covered nuts last Friday. I ate my lunch and drank two glasses of water. I thought of the three pounds I lost and didn't want them back so I passed on the cakes and pies but not the nuts. I ate 15 chocolate cover nuts which came to 150 calories. I divided 150 by three, the days left for the week. So I ate 50 less calories on those three days. It kind of like rob from Peter to pay Paul.

I like this to. I will try it.
