Morning everyone,
I was somewhat busy/lazy this weekend, which is why I didn't check in. Saturday I spent the whole day with my sister and pretty much got a workout just walking around shopping, and Sunday I pretty much slept all day and watched movies with my husband.
Today I have my meals and exercise already planned out, I did a double workout this morning just changing things up a bit, and this afternoon I'll do my circuit before starting on dinner. I'm already having a pretty busy day so far and I can see it getting busier in the near future......ugh. Can't wait for the work day to end and my workout to begin lol.
Glad to hear everyone else had a good weekend though. Stay inspired everyone.
It's not about being the best, it's about being better than you were yesterday.

As part of my journey to better health/weight, I am trying to take a more holistic approach. So I am committing to do the new 21 day meditation challenge with Oprah/Deepak Chopra.
https://chopracentermeditation.com/experience
It is free and the topic is "Manifesting True Success." The centering thought for today is:
"I create my success from within."
I had a good swim this morning, plus a half hour of yoga. I a going to be super diligent on recording BEFORE I eat today to better manage my intake!
Have a truly great day!

Sounds like a wonderful weekend Kris. Time with family is better than anything!
Susan, that sounds like a good idea. I'm sure it will lessen stress, which is always a good thing.
I had a good long hot soak after my hike yesterday. It felt wonderful! Today is kind of easy, just walking for an hour. I'll see if I feel like anything harder tonight after dinner. (actually I need to bathe the dog from the hike. He had to sleep outside last night because I didn't bathe him then) I'm sure it was worth it to him to go with hiking
Here is a quote I got from my daughter this morning, I thought it was great.
PRACTICE like you've never won. PERFORM like you've never lost
Have a great day

Hi everyone !
It's always a pleasure to read you're doing well !
Today I did:
-20 mins HIIT
-20 minutes yoga
I did some DIY recipes, one deodorant, one facial moisturiser. My first attempt at both so it's not perfect but I like trying new things.
I really feel great these days. Althought the scale is still stubborn, I'm positive and I feel good in my skin !
Have a nice evening !

Hey guys! Today I started a sugar detox and let me tell you, it was PAINFUL.
I have always had a pretty big sweet tooth, but I never thought that cutting sugar out of my diet would affect me so much. Just to clarify: it's just refined sugar that I'm eliminating, like cookies and ice cream and sugary cereal.
Seriously though, it's difficult. And what was surprising was that it wasn't the mental struggle that was the hardest to overcome: it was the physical struggle. Today I felt all kinds of awful, and it was basically like having the flu: nausea, headaches, and fatigue.
According to health experts, these symptoms will subside in a couple of days. Here's hoping it's sooner rather than later! I read somewhere that sugar is three times more addictive than cocaine, and the withdrawal is agonizing. But I'm hoping I will emerge victorious!
Congrats to all of you for a great day:)0 -
Hey everyone! Hope you all had a good day. I had a rough day at work then a dentist appointment. I was in such a crappy mood when I left. But I craved a run. (I just started the C25K) so I came home and went for a run still frozen. I felt sooooooo much better after. This was a good reminder to me that food isn't a good comfort source. Going out and being active not only made me feel better I didn't feel guilty after!!HealthyBella403 wrote: »Hey guys! Today I started a sugar detox and let me tell you, it was PAINFUL.

HealthyBella - I understand completely. My husband has it so bad every time he tries to cut out sugar (he has always eaten so much of it) I try to tell him it will get better if he just sticks with it but he usually caves before it does. Good luck to you. Be strong and Stick with it. It will be so worth it in the long run.
Jen - good job on finding a better way than food. That is great!
