I wasn't was the problem. I found out this weekend that even though I had RNY surgery, I'm not in the 30% of the population that dumps (gets sick on high sugar foods). So what did I do? I ate Godiva premium chocolate caramels and a Cadbury caramel egg all in the same day. WTF??? I had a horrible weekend eating wise. I am back on track as of this morning though. Already had my shake and some 2% cheese (26gr). One thing I did learn by reading the different threads here is that you should weigh food in grams instead of ounces. Grams are more accurate.
Hope everyone has an excellent day!!

Grams are just a smaller unit of measurement, and therefore you can get a more accurate number overall. I do most of my measurements in grams. Well, now you know about the high sugar foods. I would work to fine tune your allowable foods to avoid the pratfalls that lead to sugar binging in the first place. Personally for me, that means a low carb diet for life. I seem to recall that most folks with any WLS can't have high fats, but I bet there are modifications you could incorporate. So far, it is the only successful way I've found to keep those carb cravings in check.
Regardless - it was one day. Not the end of the universe. You learned a ton from it as a result. I personally would write down all the horrible side effects you felt (gastro distress, other binging/bad food choices, etc. Emphasize all the misery so you can pull it out and read it the next time you want to make that same choice. A variation on fat bombs might help you there, too. Hints of the original sweetness, more satisfying fats, and nothing of the hit...
Anyway, sending you hugs... You will survive, as Gloria Gaynor sang to us!
Hugs, Carly0
