Fitbit did 1,000 steps while I slept!

Well, the other night I chucked some clothes in the wash and about 10 minutes later I had that terrible feeling, like my heart had sunk and said "Oh no" because it suddenly occurred to me that I didn't take off my fitbit before I put my trousers in the wash!!!!!

I kept thinking on the instructions it said not for use when swimming etc and I pretty much laid the cards out on the table and accepted my fitbit will not be a "fit bit" no more and it will become a "useless bit".

I couldn't do much until it had washed and as I have a washer/dryer I had also set my clothes to dry for 1:30hours!!!!

So would you believe my astonishment when I took out my laundry in the morning (I put the washing on late at night) and my fitbit grinned at me because according to the fitbit I had made over 1,000 steps already since midnight bearing in mind it was only 7am!!!

I couldn't believe it was still working.... I was so relieved!!!!

I hope it keeps working. I washed my One (we stopped the washer and took it out as soon as I realized it) and at first it seemed to still work. Then, it died. We put it in rice, but it didn't come back after a couple of days, so I accepted that it was dead. Then, a few days later they started taking orders for the Charge HR. I ordered one and 2 days before my Charge HR arrived, my One resurrected itself (10 days after I washed it).

I ended up passing the One on to a friend.

I washed what was my fitbit Zip back in 2013. It still works. However, it's no longer mine and now belongs to my mom. I was surprised that it lived through that and even more surprised that it's still working.

I washed mine, and Fitbit replaced it free. Give them a call! They can be really cool that way sometimes depending on when and where you bought it.

I guess rolling around in the dryer used up 1000 steps :)

Me too, never was realistic, but I should be able to come up with some tumbler system.
