Temps for running outdoors

Anyone have a guideline they use for what to wear based on the temp and wind speed? It always seems to fluctuate so much I have trouble judging what's appropriate number of layers to wear (and end up freezing - or lugging around extra clothes).

It's hard to judge sometimes... wear lightweight layers.. generally go for a little less than you think you might need, b/c once you get warmed up you can do with less. that's about all I got.

Thanks. Who knows maybe someday I'll learn tech stuff and create an app for that *grin* Today was really nice though. I was fortunate to be able to work out during my kid's practice so basically doing loops around the field - this meant I got to go past my vehicle so I left my jacket there, did my workout, then picked it back up to block the wind while waiting for them to finish.
