Morning,

HAPPY FRIDAY!

I'm pretty happy today, because 1) my new vibrams are coming in today :D 2) IT'S FRIDAY :DB) & 3) did I mention I'm getting new shoes today? :D lol. I guess it's just a woman thing to always be excited about new shoes lol but I can't help it.

So besides that, my day is going pretty good so far, especially since I got caught up yesterday after my crazy week (and no it wasn't because of procrastination mom, my boss had me doing a couple extra projects this week that delayed some of my daily work). I love how my morning workouts make me feel so energized and ready to take on the day though, instead of looking and feeling like one of the zombies off of the Walk Dead series lol. I have a fun circuit planned for this afternoon (never thought I'd ever call a workout fun lol but I always look forward to them each day now) and I'm thinking baked chicken with rice tonight. Got a yummy deer roast in the crock pot for tomorrow too.

Here's some tough love motivation I found on Pinterest last night:

NEVER QUIT. If you stumble get back up. What happened yesterday NO longer matters. Today is another day, so get back on track and move closer to your dreams and goals. You can DO IT.

Hope everyone has a good day today.

~ Kris

Glad you are so happy today Kris. I had a great day too!
BEST HIKE EVER!!! I took off work early and hit a different canyon (since I didn't have my dog with me). A lot of snow just a half a mile up but doable. I just kept going. The scenery was beautiful and the weather was perfect. About 3 miles up all of a sudden I heard a tree crack LOUD. I turn to be staring down a moose about 15-20 feet away. After a few minutes she went back to grazing and then just sat down and kept looking at me. There were more all around. Just looking for food anywhere the snow had melted. It was awesome! I just watch them for about 20 min or more and then heading back down the mountain. I was going to go farther but every time I tried to go up the trail it startled them and I didn't want to cause any ruckus lol I don't know if they would cause harm if scared. and trying to get a pic my battery went dead. Not good to be up the mountain alone without a cellphone. The picture isn't very good and of course it was dead when I was able to get a clear close up.

That's about how it goes with any wildlife if you're trying to shoot it or take it's picture, they always seem to get in the perfect spot for to you to have to take the worst shot ever.

That sounds really exciting though, wish I could have a hike like that but we don't have moose down here in MS.

it's the first time I have ever saw them in "my" mountains. Always lots of deer and elk, but never have I seen moose before.
