EBF and trying to lose weight

HI :) my baby is 9 weeks, and we're EBF.
Trying to figure out how many calories i need to be eating.. this week ive started exercising again, and ive burned between 2876-3357 a day. I have a bodymedia fit and have it set to 1/2 lb a week loss (-250 cals), but theres no way to account for breastfeeding. I dont think im eating enough to gain, but i would like to lose at a rate that wont drop my milk supply. My BMR is about 1800 according to online calculators..before i got pregnant i was losing about 1/2 lb a week eating around 2k a day. But i wasnt as active then and only burned around 2600/day..
TBH i dont mind eating 3k calories a day, its just a bit difficult to fit eating into my schedule to get that many lol dont know what i would do if i needed to add another 500 on for BF.. i dont know if ive lost anything yet since i just started the exercising and stuff on monday.. ive bounced around between 240-244 since the baby was born but i havent been very careful with my calories. will my supply be ok if i just use those 500 calories as extra deficit?

I have found figuring calories by EBF is hard! I've had the best success with 1400 net. To account for bf just put it in your diary under foods and it will take away the calories. I have a fitbit and that is how I do it. Good luck. I haven't really lost much since the initial weight, but some do better than others.

My supply was fine at 1400 net and even 1200 net (accounting for ebf, so was really eating 1900 and 1700 respectively). I've been losing weight. Good luck!

Yikes, i could never net that low! I try not to net below my bmr and find i did better that way before i got pregnant..just wasnt sure if that was too drastic a cut for me..
Eta: no offence meant, i just know my body and when i net below 1800 im staving and morr irritable. I lost at a nice, slow pace before and i do t min dong i again. Im perfectly happy with 0.5-1 lb/week loss. Last time i checked, mfp put me at 1600 net to lose 2 lb/week. But since i use the bmf now i dont really pay as much attention to net

I'm EBF and am 16 days postpartum, but my initial postpartum loss seems to have stopped. I'm doing 1900 gross, or 1400 net, and seeing how that goes. So far my supply hasn't suffered, but my weight hasn't changed. Not sure why but I'm trying to give it time since it's only been a few days.

Hi - I EBF and my son is 9 weeks. I have my calories set at 1660. I have set in an item under 'my meals' which I called 'breastfeeding' with a -500 calorie. I have started to exercise more regularly in the past 2 weeks (aside from a bad case of mastitis which laid me out for 2 days). The bad news - I have gained 2 pounds this week. I do not understand! I think I need to look at my foods? I have MFP set to loose 1/2 pound a week. I am trying to be chill about the weight loss because the breastfeeding is so important to me and I want to continue for many more months. I am having no issues with supply.

Are you set at 1660 gross or 1660 net after deducting BFing? I think the minimum you are supposed to be eating for BFing is 1800/day. You should also eat back any exercise calories. If you aren't eating enough, and your supply hasn't suffered, your body may be holding on to weight to save your supply, or it could just be a case of your needing to eat more to lose.

I mean net, so I have 1400 plus breastfeeding. Which I put in what I pump so that gives me around 700 more calories total plus exercise.
