I'm not in my 20/30's anymore. I went to a weekend long party in Edison, NJ this past weekend.... Boy am I exhausted. Can barely keep my eyes open here at work. UGH. I wish I could do caffeine pills again. Junk food is not an option. It would wake me up for an hour, then I'd crash hard and fast.

I had two nights of parties last weekend for bachelorette things and I was still paying for it Friday. I'm only 28 and I didn't even drink too much, but my knees are old souls and didn't take too kindly to me dancing on them for four hours :)

What about some water, and some kinda carb/protein snack like peanut butter or almonds and apples, or cheese or tuna and crackers? Is a quick walk an option?

Sometimes, I just close my eyes for a few minutes in the bathroom and I feel more awake, but I usually set an alarm in case I fall asleep sitting up on the toilet like some kind of sleep-deprived superfreak.

Luckily I made it thru the day. Got some more sleep last night and am feeling better today. I miss my 20/30s. I use to be able to stay out for days, now...not so much.

I worked my tail-feathers off all weekend (Thursday-Sunday) at the local Medieval/Renaissance Faire and I'm freaking DEAD. I'm sunburned (despite applying sunscreen 4 times a day and staying in shade when possible), I'm horribly dehydrated, I'm sore, I'm cranky, I'm itchy, and blech, I feel so damned old it is ridiculous. I don't think I've ever had a hangover anywhere near this at all, and today is freaking Tuesday. If I'm lucky, I will have partially recovered by this upcoming weekend, but for now I'll continue to feel like exhausted death.

I'm 38, 39 in a few months, so I'm freaking old-ish anyway, but I'm definitely not young enough to party like I used to...

I recommend to anyone suffering with this level of exhaustion to try to add some coconut oil to their preferred hot beverage. It brings energy and boosts metabolism and mental clarity. If you don't have any in your diet at all, start at 1/2 TBSP for a few days, and bump up as you see fit. It has some calories to it, but it is well worth it... I usually have about 2 TBSP each day in my Bullet Proof Tea. I'm slowly upping my coconut oil and dropping my heavy cream as I find I like it better that way. :)

I'm 31 and can't even imagine repeating my old "party days" lol. I was super excited to be out past 10 with my husband on our getaway!! Haha

BUT I feel 100000x better body, mind, health wise then I ever did in my 20s. So I'll take that trade off.

I'm in my 20's and wouldn't want to party like that... but thats mostly because I am an introvert.
