Today was rough. It was long and I was super pooped when I got home. I had to pack up my office today and got a lung full of dust. Got home and futtered around for a while trying to rally. Then I reminded my self that it's only 7 minutes. I wasn't up for 10 minutes, but I could rally for 7.

How was your first day??

Today was my first day. Was really tired after a busy day, but Jes pushed me to take my daily walk. So I did my 7 minutes at the school down the street. 7 minutes is pretty manageable!

I was under the weather yesterday, so I took a short walk but couldn't do the high intensity thing. Feeling optimistic about today though!

I feel ya. Last week was pretty rough at work and I just didn't feel like any level of intensity would be self nurturing. I'm a big baby when my cycle starts. So I took a break. Then I hurt my neck on Sunday. After 3 visits to the chiropractor this week I finally feel ready to try it again. I got my clothes out and put them next to the bed. B, you asked me about the hack I learned from that ebook and this is it. It's a little thing but it seems to work. I just put my workout clothes on first thing because they're right there. The closet is just took far for me.

I'm also trying to take the stairs more at work during the day.

Sorry about your hard week amd your neck. Boo.

I did my 10k steps today plus the 7 minutes. And my steps included a little running around with Zoe. But it is way past my bed time, so in addition to movement, I really need to focus on getting to bed earlier. It is my eternal struggle. Also I didn't eat enough veggies today. But still giving myself an A for the day.

A+ B. You did a heck of a lot more than me. Way to be active.

My Sleep Hack: One thing I started doing to try and get more sleep is set my alarm at night. I'll often lose track of time and suddenly it will be 11 or later. I've discovered I'm more likely to sleep if I've shut off the lights and have eyes closed by 10:50 so it's key that I don't miss that window. Any later and I will likely be up with insomnia or will have to take extra melatonin and eat some soup. So my alarm will go off at 10 and that's when I go and get ready for bed and just disconnect from whatever thing I was doing. I'm usually in bed and lights are off right at 10:50.

10k steps & wahoo:check. Ate my veggies today too!

I will try the alarm thing, Meeps. My problem is I find it really hard to get all my eating and chores done by 10. Like right now I'm finishing up dinner and need to clean up the kitchen and take out the trash before I get washed up and into bed and it's 1040. But I think I will be in bed a little earlier than last night so maybe I can get to bed a little earlier every day until I make it to 10.
