Anxiety around weight gain, food, binges,...how has tracking calories helped you?

As most of us I guess also have a lot of anxiety related to weight gain/food /binges etc or overeat or emotionally eat because of anxiety and body tensions I wanted to open a discussion to enhance motivation. I just started to realize that tracking in MFP could help me reduce my anxiety e.g. by showing me that a binge results in weight gain which can be reduced again by following calorie tracking for a couple of weeks. What helps you here to reduce your anxiety around eating? Please only positive/motivating things!
