Fitbit syncs food diary, but MFP wont sync steps!

I've had a fitbit for 2 years or more (flex, then the charge HR), it used to be great but over the last year I've found that MFP regularly doesn't sync with Fitbit and to pick up steps I have to regularly (several times a day) disconnect the app and then re-add connect it and then log onto the website rather than syncing the android app. its driving me mad! is there anything I can do?

    I don't know what their server's cache clearing time is, but Fitbit thinks it sent it, MFP reported it got it, but it didn't apply the data to your account.

    Or it thinks it did.
