Hey everyone! I'm feeling pretty good about my May goals. On Facebook I usually post an "End of Month Report" for my friends to keep up on how I'm doing, it's part of what keeps me accountable and active. Here's how I did in May:
Here's my end of month report on my health & fitness progress:
I set a goal of 150 miles to reach by the end of the month. Due to shin splints, I did not reach that goal. I did get to a total of 120.55 miles though. So not too shabby!
Biking - 72.92 miles
Walking - 15.4 miles
Running - 32.23 miles
Running goal: Be able to run 4 miles without stopping by end of month. Done!
I started a fitness challenge for myself, 6 Weeks to 100 Pushups. I'm 4 weeks into that, and did 130 pushups yesterday, broken up into segments. I did start out doing proper form pushups, but because of a history of problems with my right shoulder have taken it down to modified for now. I will probably go through again once I'm stronger and do the challenge again with proper form. The goal is to do 100 pushups without a rest.
Now on to my weight loss. This month's total is 9 lbs even, for a grand total of 40.8 lbs lost. Since starting my health and fitness changes in January, I've got down 3 clothing sizes.
Notice I did not call what I'm doing a "diet". That is not what it is. This is a complete lifestyle change for me, and if I can do it, anyone can! I'm not doing anything fancy, just good old fashioned portion control combined with exercise.
So now I want to hear how you did!

Way to go! My May wasn't so good. I'm trying to get back into the habit. I ran my first ever 10K on June 1, but all of the training was done in May. So, I'll call that a success.
I just met with a trainer/fitness guru. I have a new plan....look for it in the June Goals thread.0
