I'm sorry for my lack of presence on the boards. Sometimes being healthy means taking care of yourself in a different way. I start my new job next week so I'm trying to get organized before then :-) Please continue with the challenge because there still will be a winner regardless of my own participation ! Welcome to Week 3!
REMINDER:
Each week will run from Wednesdays to Tuesday nights at midnight. For the last week, the week will be extended to Thursday, April 30th at midnight. Week 4 results MUST be in by Thursday, April 30th at midnight. The #BikeApril winner will be randomly chosen on May 1st. Check the rules and if you have any additional questions feel free to post them or message me directly :-)

We have been hit by several days of bad weather, and 2 weeks in a row I couldn't go to spin class on Thursday night due to family obligations. I did think I had 100 miles in the bag, lol...but now I'm not so sure. Working all weekend too.0

4/26 - 6.48 miles. Bought a new bike yesterday and just a quick ride to test it out. Plus it's super cold today!0

Short ride in 17mph wind on unprotected water side bike trail....like riding gradual uphill.....got 11 miles in.....monthly total = 123/ 150 goal.....great ride back with wind at my back0

April has been a total bust for me. I've been struggling with the clipless pedals I got last month and have reached the conclusion that the brand and model I bought are either defective or just total pieces of crap. This weekend I decided to remove them and put the original platform pedals back on, except the clipless pedals were so tight they were impossible to remove. So I can't even do that myself and have to take it to the bike shop to do it, which I haven't been able to do because my work schedule has been wacky. I should, however, be able to do it this Saturday, and then I'll be ready for BikeMay at least! Anyway thanks for listening to me whine.0

4/28 - 17.2 miles. I bought myself a new bike. I think it needs some slight adjustments. My butt cheek is cramping and my hip hurts a bit. Guess this is the downside to getting new bikes!!

I seriously doubt I'll have anymore miles this month. I find it interesting that I at least was out once every week in April. With the funky spring weather, the moving house and what not, I'm happy I even got out at all. It would have been so easy to blow my bike rides off totally and completely this month.0 -

Ok guys and gals, this is for all the cycling peeps. I enjoy doing all sorts of cycling challenges throughout the year but my favorite challenges are the MFP Grand Tour challenges run by the irrepressible @TheBigYin. What makes these challenges even more fun is that they are team based which helps motivate you to get out and ride when you can but also that the team has your back when you can't!! Lots of fun and banter throughout as well. There are 2 teams of 9 already but would love to get 4 teams like last year so please sign up if you fancy it. The first Tour, the Giro D'Italia starts May 9th so get signed up!!

You don't have to ride every day, just be willing to put some effort in and contribute to the team. The only requisite is you log your rides on Strava and report your mileage in the reporting thread after a ride.

Week 4: 20 miles including 3 miles after work on urban trail.....helmet, uniform pants pulled up and a grin as sun set.
Monthly totals 136 with goal 150.....one week off bike due to illness..... I'm better and starting over tomorrow for new month!0 -
