Gut bacteria, antibiotics, and obesity

I just thought I'd share this interesting 13-minute interview with a researcher in the rapidly growing field of the human microbiome--that is, the thousands of different species of bacteria that inhabit our digestive system.
This is mostly an academic curiosity at this point, as the field is probably too young to give specific recommendations to specific people, but the general outtake is probably to avoid the unnecessary exposure to antibiotics from infancy on.
Skip to 6:00 to get right into the discussion on obesity.
