Hey everyone,

I had a pretty good day yesterday, did a full circuit and then mowed the grass with my husband lol. I'm really feeling it today. Going to go for a light run this afternoon to give the rest of my body a little rest, might incorporate some yoga into my warm up too.

I just recently read the weekend reports, congratulations Alisia for doing a pull up  I can just barely do a regular push up lol so I am impressed.

Hope everyone else has a good day.

    Hi,

Isabelle! I just caught up on the weekend posts!!! Girl! Your pictures are AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!!! Such a huge difference! You must feel great. The photos really show the weight loss! Without being creepy, I have total shoulder and arm envy! You look toned, strong and sexy!

Alisa - Yipeeeeeee on the pull up! You made a goal and achieved it. That must feel awesome.

Kris - I really hope that today finds you feeling well!

    Thanks Susan! :)

I'm very happy I took them. At first, I was like.." meh... all that work, a whole year" It was like I wasn't seing a big difference. Then, I look some more and I began to see the difference and then I felt really proud. It's a BIG boost in motivation and now I feel like I will push really hard to fly to goal weight ! It's only 9 pounds away. ( I will re evaluate after that but still, I'm getting pretty close.)

So, today I did 35 Minutes of strength and now I'm of for a jog. I'm aiming for 4Km.

Alisa, I have a question on how did you progress to doing the pull up ? I'm so far from being able. I have research on how to do it. Lots of people recommands starting by holding yourself up and slowly lower yourself. But right now I can't even really hold myself... I mean, I lower pretty darn fast ;). I'm doing rows and other exercices for the lats but I was wondering if you had your tricks? What was your progression to get there ?

    Have a nice evening !

I am very interested in Alisa's answer about how she reached her goal. I have been fit at times
in my life but I have never been able to do many push-ups and never a full pull-up. I am trying to head in that direction by concentrating on planks during yoga and slooowwwwlllly lowering into cobra.

I have never done assisted pull ups or start from holding myself up. (might have been easier though). I started with push ups on the stairs. After a month I started doing push ups on my knees and then regular push ups. Then my husband purchased a "at home weight station" thingy lol I don't even know what it is really called but it is like multiple machines you would find at the gym. I started using that slowly (I think I started at 13 min ) It has all kinds of exercises to do with your upper body and not so many for the lower body. I took advantage of all of them building up my time and the weight amounts. I would do it about 3 times a week. Every so often I would try to do a pull up. It was really hard because my husband put the bar up high enough for my son so I have to almost jump to get it. So I'm hanging there and have to have enough strength to pull my body up and over. I was so ecstatic when I did it! I keep trying but can't get past the 1 and a half yet. I also need to remember that I should rest at least a day after working out hard on my arms so they can repair. It might of seemed like I met my goal quickly because I didn't share it in the beginning. It did take time. Hope this helps. I'm not a professional. I just try to find what works for me.
