I did my marketing today with the idea of ending FF on Wednesday and starting the regular plan. With that in mind, and meal recommendations not longer dictate an Energizing or Craving Crusher Shake, yet leave 'a protein drink' as an alternate option for a Powerfuel at Breakfast. Do the rest of you still do the protein shakes? Do you use the Energizer or Craving Crushing? Or did you branch out into something else?

Also, am I correct in my assumption that I can drink some of my veggies as V8 juice if I want to?

Hey Patty - My wife and I still do the shakes every now and then. The protein shakes count as a PF. I *think* the energizing shake is a PF and an SC but check with a counselor to be sure. And yes, V8 works. A word of caution - be very careful with the sodium. It is really high in V8. I use the low sodium V8. Also, if you look around you can find different types. For example, I like the spicy low sodium V8. Some stores have it and some do not. Also, don't let V8 be your only source of veggies. Try to find some of the ones on the unlimited list that you like and work them in as well.

Thanks Morgan --- I did get the low sodium V8 (saw the spicey but didn't go there this time around). And yes, I was doing well over my minimum during the workweek, but I can see that I may struggle getting as many veggies in on the weekend since I'm up and running around, rather than glued to my desk M-F where it's easier to munch on carrots etc. I just wanted V8 as perhaps a filler on days when I don't quite get there, but really not partiularly hungry. Also, thanks for the info on the shakes --- I'll go find out which equates to what so I'm clear (couldn't quite figure that out!)

Just in case someone else has this same question on the shakes, the Energizing Shake equates to 1 PowerFuel and the Craving Crusher Shake equates to 1 Powerfuel AND 1 SmartCarb.

My wife and I get the Great Shakes Sampler-28 pack. We both like it. I had a little issue trying to switch from just the chocolate and vanilla mix we started with and had to call in to make the change. That being said, the counselor I spoke with got it switched in less than two minutes. The Great Shakes Sampler comes with 7 days of each: Chocolate, Vanilla, Strawberry and Iced Coffee (my favorite). They are protein shakes so we use them right after our morning workouts - usually with breakfast. They are more costly than if you buy one of those big containers of protein powder that are on the market but I think these taste much better.
