What works for skinny fat body

Hi!

New to the group and not very long on the MFP either... I am here to lose my body fat, which was ~31% couple of months back.
I checked this group for a sticky / thread on some basic tips -on health and nutrition that will work for a skinny fat body. I know, strength training is the key, but may I request all of those who are seeing results to share their exercise routines and basic nutrition (macros / key food items they avoided etc) in this thread? (if possible along with beginning weight, height and how long they have stuck to their routines..)

It would be a good resource for us beginners...

I for one have been doing 30 day shred and can now claim that it DOES build muscles. I am on day 19 of 30DS today and so far my arms have developed good definition, my fore-arms and calves too. So have my thighs. I am 167 cms tall and weigh 145.2 lbs. Down from 147 Lbs.
