Getting back to the box after three weeks

Sometimes I feel like I am not getting any stronger from crossfit. I am in my late fifty's and progress is slow. Well I recently took three weeks off and returned two days ago. My body is really sore. I guess I must be getting some kind of positive results because ordinarily I would not have been sore after this wod.

That is why I only go three times a week and do some strength training and light long-distance cardio on the other three days. This lets me build strength outside the box and while in the box, I’m more general fitness focused.0

It's a good lesson to learn. I hardly ever get sore after CF unless I've taken a break. I've wondered if I wasn't working hard enough but I think our bodies just get used to it, even though each day is varied.0
