Hi, Ive been an IBS sufferer for about as long as I can remember but was only officially diagnosed late last year... I also struggle a lot with depression and anxiety which means when one of the three plays up I basically don't get out of bed or wade through my day in misery. I've tried anti-depressants for the depression and IBS and neither seemed to help. I have also tried a few different natural treatments which seem to be more effective but still not a whole lot of help... so my question is, has anyone else here got a similar problem, and how do you cope with days where you struggle to get out of bed?
Thank you in advance Sarah

Yep.
I don't really know how to explain it... my energy just disappears.
I sleep all day, I refuse to leave the house.
This happens once every few months, I'd say.
The only way I know to get out of it, so it slowly decrease my amount of sleep in consistent intervals,
and go to bed at the same exact time every night.
TV off, trying to fall asleep at 11pm.
Then, waking up at 11am,
10:30am,
10:00am, etc... until I'm sleeping 9 hours.
And then I keep to that exact sleep schedule until my energy starts to return.
Obviously, there's a bigger problem here that I'm not addressing, but it's the only solution I've got right now.
