If the weather permitted and the other person was agreeable I used to conduct training needs analysis whilst walking around our arboretum. I think getting out and walking helped in thinking more creatively.

All terrific ideas. I always show my speech classes Amy Cuddy's TED talk on body language, and standing is important to power poses (being confident and perceived as confident), especially the Wonder Women pose. Another benefit of sitting less.

I want to put in a plug for Larry Swanson's terrific book, Scared Sitless. If you do most of your sitting at the office and you want to change that, this book is a tremendous resource. Larry really knows his stuff and I'm impressed with the thoroughness of his research.
