Tough 3 days

Yesterday, Today, and tomorrow - - - tough 3 days.

I'll start with yesterday. My daughter called and wanted to have lunch.... I missed having Mother's Day with her. She wanted to go to Dairy Queen. So we went. I did a grilled Chicken breast sandwich... stupid me had fries instead of the side salad... 1 pound up this morning. I know it was the salt and potato.

Today at work is the quarterly Birthday Party. They used to do these monthly but this year are trying something different. I am thankful that they are once every 3 months now. There will be everything from brunch to dinner thrown at us all day. PLUS we have a couple of office busy bodies that will make the day very difficult and will be offended if you do not eat. I am thankful that I don't go into work until 10:30 and get off at 5:10

Tomorrow. Shopping with a girlfriend that loves Chinese food AND that is my one food weakness.

I need tips, tricks and patience !!!!

    I believe that the 1 pound will come off over the next couple of days if that is all You do.

    For the Birthday party to things to try. Just say I'm not hungry right now. If You eat avoid starches. Look for plain salad, Lean meats and avoid breads and pastries.

    Try and lead the Shopping to something healthy that is not loaded with Sodium.
    Sat something along the lines of lets try something different today and if You know what places are available look online for their menus and find healthy choices.

    Lunch with my daughter was wonderful... I love it when she wants to spend time me. I didn't have any weight gain that day.

    Birthday Meals at work was a little over whelming. I am very thankful that the are quarterly and not monthly like they used to be. I talked to one of the NS counselors and got some great tips. Some of them worked and some of them did not. My toughest challenge was dealing with co-workers. I showed a one pound weight gain after what I am now dubbing as "Belly up to the Trough Day."

    Shopping and lunch with my friend was not as bad as I thought.... I took my egg roll, crab rangoon and 1/2 of my rice home with me and my husband ate that. Even though I tried to get the restaurant manager to make me a chicken and vegetable stir fry I was not successful. So I ate a few bites of hot braised chicken, about 1/2 a cup of rice and water to drink. I didn't show any more weight gain this morning when I weighed.

    Back on the NS Band Wagon today and got some great exercise when I mowed my and my mom's yards today. My husband and I also did some planting of flowers.

    All is great and looking forward to a strict week of meals and exercise to get rid of the pound that was probably because of salt and the extra carbs.

    Great job, Sears. Sounds like you planned accordingly getting great advice and succeeded. YEAH, YOU!!!

    Also, sounds like you had a wonderful time with your daughter and friend. Very very nice indeed. :)

    Congratulations that could have gone bad easily.
    Yup the Chinese will cause a large water weight gain. Ask me how I know :)
