No advice, just stick to the plan. Before you know it, all this will just be a tiny blip in your rear-view mirror.
I was at my hungriest the couple of weeks after surgery, until I could start eating real food again. Hunker down, don't give in, and it will pass.0 -
You got this! Sorry for your loss. Like Grim said follow the plan and this will all be behind you before you know it. A little advice for the hospital stay - take a pillow from home for comfort standing up and sitting down (hug it) it helps the ride home too, take chapstick for when you get out of recovery before they allow you to sip (lips will be very dry) and some comfy slippers for all that walking in the hospital - walking was my salvation Best wishes and let us know how you're doing!0

So sorry for your loss. Its hard to stay focused when struggling with emotional issues so you have much to be proud of. As others have said sticking with the program is the key. You probably have noticed there can be some differences in our programs but stay focused on what your Doc says. Remember they are the ones who know you and have all your info. They know what's best for you! I took very little to the hospital as I was only in overnight. I had my phone and a my robe. Slipper socks were provided as was pretty much anything else I needed. Its important to get moving right away and to keep moving even while in the hospital! Walking will really help with any gas pains you may have. So walk, walk, walk, sip, sip, sip! Getting the fluids in can be a real challenge so sipping all day is very important! I'm 3 months out now, as Grim said, the discomfort from the surgery is now just a tiny blip! I was blessed with virtually no nausea or pain. Be prepared for the head hunger! We tend to want what we cannot have! That's where commitment and determination to sticking with the plan will get you through. Good luck on your journey! The forums on here are great support, so stay in touch & keep us posted!0

So sorry for your loss! I agree with everything already said here, so I won't repeat. You've already proven you can hang tough when things are bad. Good job! You will do great.0

Sorry for your loss. Kudos to you for staying on track during such a difficult time. Focus one day at a time, don't let the scale dictate your success, don't compare yourself to anyone else, get your water in, meet protein goals and walk, walk, walk after surgery. Best of luck.0
