Help a cyster out!
I live and work and was diagnosed in Honduras. It was very quick and overwhelming, especially considering I was navigating medical issues in a second language!
I'll be in the United States in June and July and I am looking for a specialist - or just someone to explain things better - in the Northern Illinois or Chicago area. I'd prefer a female doctor - male gynecologists give me the heeby-jeebies. I'd also rather not drive all the way into downtown Chicago.

Dr. Carol Cislak. She used to be in the Evanston area, but that was a while ago. She is an ob-gyn and not a specialist in PCOS, but I found her knowledgeable and supportive, unlike the male doctors I had seen earlier, who dismissed the PCOS symptoms when I was younger. Dr. Cislak took the symptoms seriously and gave me help. I really liked her.0
