Should I delete the run

Hi, I just synced MFP to Fitbit tracker (surge) tonight. Should I delete the 5 km run I recorded on MFP this morning?
Thanks for your help.

No need to log any step-based activity—your Fitbit tracks it way better than MFP. If your run was before you set up your Fitbit, leave it.
Exercise logged in MFP overwrites your Fitbit burn during that time.0 -
Thank for your help. I'll remove the run0

It's a matter of personal preference. Personally, I log some step-based activity with Runkeeper (linked to MFP), which means Fitbit activity during that time doesn't get counted. I prefer that particularly with hikes because I'm carrying a pack... Fitbit doesn't know that, and underestimates calorie burn as a result.
I've noticed a lot of users have a really difficult time understanding how this all works and how to Fitbit and MFP together most effectively. If that describes you, then just wear the Fitbit and don't log step-based activity.0 -
I would link Runkeeper to Fitbit, and Fitbit to MFP.0

That isn't how I do it. I have Runkeeper to MFP and Fitbit to MFP (which actually flows in a bidirectional manner, so I can see the Runkeeper data on Fitbit this way as well). MFP is the "central hub." for how mine is setup.
The data from Fitbit contains details including times. The data from Runkeeper contains details including times. So when Runkeeper flows to MFP, if Runkeeper says I started at 11:14:23 and continued for 2:37:10, then MFP will override the steps from Fitbit starting at 11:14:23 and ending at 13:51:32. Fitbit steps before and after those times will still be used by MFP for the Fitbit calorie adjustment and it will use Runkeeper as a logged activity.0
