Hi All
I figured that this might be a useful place for tips and hints.
Things like:
Use a Mini Lunch Crock on the dry cups of food.

Good Luck

    Good idea, Roger.

I use the Lunch Crock on just about all the SS foods. I don't have any more nor re-ordered, the cups of food.

It seems the Crock gives the entrees a better texture and enhances the flavor. Could be just me, but microwaved and used the Lunch Crock and the latter improved the food(s).

Not sure you want to know this, but I lightly toast in the toaster oven, the frozen Breakfasts like waffles, pancakes, and French Toast. Just seems to give them a better texture and I like the little crisp they get.

    Hi
I defrost the Waffles, Pancakes and French Toast overnight in the refrigerator and then use the toaster to heat them since I do not have a Toaster oven, No Counter space either unless I give up the Small Crock Pot space :) I like them a little crispy too.

If You get the Hamburger, Grilled Chicken or Meatloaf Sandwiches the buns toast up nicely in the toaster or on a small griddle on the stove. I also like BBQ and Caramelized onions on them as a change of taste.

    Cheers

Yes, I've done the same (toaster oven) w/the frozen HB and Chicken sandwiches. (I've not had the frozen meatloaf sandwich. Didn't think I'd like that, but willing to give it a try).

I have a 20 oz what they call, Lunch Crock. It actually just warms the food, not cook. You cannot place raw meat in it, for example. I just went to amazon.com, typed in Lunch Crock, and ordered it. I use it just about every single day at home.

Hi using the Lunch Crock gives the Dry cups a softer creamier texture. Another method would be to use Boiling water, let it sit for 10 minutes and reheat in the Microwave if needed.

I use a small 1.5 Crock Post that has three heat settings and a off position. That means that if I forget to put the food in early enough I can set the heat on high and still have it ready.

The nice thing about the lunch crock is that the liner comes out, is light weight and has a lid so You can carry it around.

    This what I use

    I hope this helps

Roger the 1.5 quart is bigger than the lunch crock pot, right? My lunch crock without the on/off switch has gone by the way side. However it sits nicely on my table counter without taking up much space. I finally have some extra money to buy a new one with the switch, but saw the one you have. can't decide without more info.

    Hi Belle
It shows the Dimensions as "Dimensions 8.3 inches x 9.6 inches x 9.6 inches"

The Big difference is that it is not really portable. I has a Big heavy Crock that sits inside and the lid just sits on it. Whereas the Lunch Crock is much lighter and has a metal insert and has a locking lid.

They also sell a Lunch crock that has a On Off Switch and costs more.

    Good Luck whichever You Choose
    Roger

P.S. I have gone to the Boiling water system for the NS Lunch Cups. I add Boiling water and let them sit covered for 5 minutes and eat. Works for me :)

I don't use a lunch crock, one reason, because then it is something extra to wash and a second reason, we can't plug anything in at work, crazy rule. They supply what is allowed. So the microwave it is.

On the weekends I bake the melts. The 3 cheese melt is like a stingy gooey piece of pizza when you break it apart, and they all taste better. If I have one at work I nuke it, then put it in the toaster oven to harden the bread.
