Weekly Warrior Mini Goal Challenge- May 25 through May 31st

In the weekly Warrior Mini-Goal Challenge focus on your short term goals.

Focusing on one week at a time, when the big picture seems too overwhelming. Small changes can bring on big results!!

Choose one or more things you want to work on for just this week. Don't set it too high or unreachable!!

Please, make sure your week works for you. Sun to Sat or Mon to Sun, whatever is YOUR week!

You can reach your main goal if you break it into small actionable steps. It could be as easy as 1-2-3!

1) Choose something you know you can do easily.
2) Add more difficult tasks to your plan.
3) These small steps will get you started, motivated & help build routine for long term success!!

    Hello All,
    I hope you all had a good weekend and great holiday for those that celebrate Memorial Day. This group has not been very active lately and Hearts has really been wonderful in keeping it going. I thought I would start it out this week and see if we want to keep it or let it rest for a few weeks.

    It is the unofficial beginning of summer and a great time to eat healthy and lots of different kinds of choices for activity. Join us if you can.

    My goals this week are to get back to logging and do a workout at least three times.

    Weekly Goals

    1. Sleep - get enough!
    2. Water - get enough!
    3. No Binge Zone - really I just want to stay aware of foods that trigger me and be a bit more careful around them.

    Hi Paulette and Hearts!
    I've been having problems with setting small, weekly, more temporary goals. Right now, I"m needing to focus on bigger, really important things in my life. That's why I haven't been here that much. I like the group and like staying in touch with everyone though. It's just gotten so easy to not succeed at goals in this group, and still be receiving positive reinforcement. I'm having to work through things in my life also, that have nothing to do with this group. I have lots of challenges, but, not things I want to talk about in here--plus they're so unrelated to weight loss. I'll try to be around when I can. I just need stricter things right now.

    Amy- this group should not be a chore. If you need to concentrate on bigger things, that is what you need to do. Take care of yourself and don't worry about the group discussion. Good luck with whatever you are doing.

    Hearts- good to see you here. Very smart goals this week. You can make progress.

    Thanks Paulette. :) This group has never been a chore at all. I think I just need to "tighten up" on things in my life, that's all. I'm responsible for me, no one else ever is, nor do I want anyone to be responsible for me. I just need to do better at some things that I "know" I need to improve on. I still want to be part of this great group. I like you all lots and love seeing how you are doing. I wish it were easier on me to "open up" more and say lots of nice things I'm feeling about you all when I see you post. Just know I care.

    how was your weekend? Do anything special? I'm sorting through things hoping to move in the next year or so and wanting to downsize 'stuff'. The older I get the less I want to own. lol

    I hope all is well with you.... do you feel you've gotten back into a groove after the cruise etc? Sometimes it takes awhile to get back into old patterns that worked for the longest time.

    I seem to have to work harder at my goals now and wish it was a bit simpler like it was a year or two back. Suppose this is just the way it is though.

    Have a Happy Thursday and think about smart decisions for the weekend.

    Amy- good job getting back to the gym. I know you can figure out the best way for you. you can be a part of the group if you just read the posts and not post yourself. whatever you need. good luck and thanks, we know you care.

    Hearts- I have not gotten back into the groove yet. part was the vacation but most of it has been taking care of Mom. so many demands. I love doing it but it throws off my schedule and also eating. then there is the stress of the situation that I seem to use food to comfort. not rationalizations just realizations. but you are right it does seem a bit harder to work on the goals. but we are worth it. I have started back to workouts and hopefully will keep that up. I think the discipline with the food will follow.

    so you keep going and know that you are worth it and that you have done so much for yourself already. not to rest on that, but to see it as a motivator to move ahead. have an awesome day.

    so this week so far I have worked out 3 times. I feel good and hope to get in one or two more. feels good and now I can work on food choices.

    Good morning Warriors! So sorry I have been MIA. Unfortunately I was down with a stomach bug that hit me hard since Monday, but on the road to recovery at last - yay :D
    Consequently , my goal for the remainder of the week is to get plenty of rest, drink lots of fluids , and make healthy food choices.
    I'm looking forward to a healthier week next week and being able to add back some exercise.
    I know the group has been small, but I'd love to see it continue. I value the group as a whole as well as each and every one of us <3

    Hearts, that's good to go through things and get rid of stuff. That should also make you feel so good. It's good you know a year in advance of moving too.

    I've also been feeling the same way. Things are taking tons of more work than they were before.

    Paulette, you do have a lot going on in your life that you're responsible for. There is a lot involved in caring for someone. I hope the exercise you've been getting lately is also helping with stress.

    I made it to the gym today. Tomorrow, Saturday, I'm going to go to the gym again and work on things other than cardio.
