Good morning ladies and gents...

Not sure if I want to celebrate a NSV, share what I am looking forward to, or what this morning. Yesterday was a rough day at work. My job was threatened, and I'm not sure how I am supposed to take what was said to me. I went over Reggie's last night and we went to TGIF's for our 1 month anniversary. It's hard to believe it's been a month. No-ONE last that long. I usually find something wrong in days. Never makes it a week. This is all new to me. But I am happy... VERY happy.

I've been reading a lot on the LCHF group and am going to give it a try. I'm excited to read of the success people are having and that I will lose puffiness with it.

How about you ladies and gents??

That's crazy about your job, Cari... But if the actions are beyond your control, do the best you can do and try to let the worry go...

Congrats on your anniversary! My guy and I had kind of a date night last night, then proceeded to have a blow out fight (we're fine now), but I went to bed quite angry... LOL Oh well. Happiness is so fleeting, so grab on and enjoy the ride while you can. I personally think you're getting better at accepting yourself in your head and heart, so accepting someone else isn't as scary as it used to be.

LC isn't a cure-all, but properly executed works well for most metabolically messed up people (like us!). You may or may not have a large drop at first (water drops because you no longer need to hold in a ton of it to process the carbs), but be sure to keep up sodium, potassium, and magnesium (electrolytes) to avoid the dreaded carb flu... (4500 mg of sodium minimum a day is recommended at first, as well as not restricting calories, just carbs, because your body needs a lot of extra energy to convert it's processing). One you start adapting, those things will naturally find a balance unless your system is massively broken...

Yes, the puffiness, like in my profile pictures, is actually less than 40 pounds difference between the pictures, but looks like 100. It is partially due to inflammation from carbs, partially fat loss, partially less water retainage, and all manner of stuff...

Make sure you take pictures and measurements before you start, because when the scale stalls, and it very likely will, those things will help you keep your sanity! I lost more inches than pounds at first!!!

OOPS - almost forgot mine. NSV, I guess, fitting into my "skinny jeans" though I didn't wear them today. They made my muffin top so much more obvious to me, and I just wasn't feeling it today.

Celebrating that my PT exercises are starting to make a difference in at least some arenas, though they still feel like medieval torture.

Looking forward to this weekend so that I can get my kitchen back in order - and so that the rain here might finally stop!!! If you want to see how crazy it's been, look at www.chickashatoday.com or www.news9.com and search chickasha flooding....

Celebrating today that I have a sense of humour because otherwise I think my head would explode. With just over 36 hours til we move my kitchen floor has just fallen in and we have lost a 10x10cm chunk of concrete into the bowels of the house. Should make moving appliances out the kitchen simple...
Phoned husband and all we could do was laugh. I need out this house like yesterday I hate the damned place. And now am probably going to have to fight for my deposit but I am sure the landlord will try and hold this against us. Burning off plenty of calories in stress though

Today I am looking forward to....MOVING HOUSE

Oh, good gracious, Lise!!! You just can't catch a break, but I'm celebrating your sense of humor too, because WTH can you do except laugh or cry, and at least laughing feels better! (hugs)

Cari- congrats on the one month anniversary.
Carly - awesome on the jeans. I have a pair of jeans that actually make my butt look like I have one but the muffin top thing...I have to be in the right mood to wear them.
Lise- wow. I hope the rest of your move goes better.

Today I am celebrating my son's 8th grade graduation and how smart he is. Usually we take the kids out to wherever they want to go for dinner and it is usually some fast food or another. He chose to go to a sit down place which was a little odd but figured we would go with it. I asked him why he chose that and he said because they have healthier options and he has seen how hard we are working to lose weight and he's too lazy to do that so he figures eating better now he won't have to work later. So without forcing it down his throat he seems to have actually gotten the message.

Well I have taped off the section of lino thats got no floor under it so we can try and keep the kids off it as im convinced one of them will stick their foot down the hole and break an ankle and we are waiting for the estate agent to send someone out but it looks like tomorrow now

Lise, so sorry you are having these issues right before you move. I know first hand how stressful moving is, and this added stress.... WOWZA.

Wendy, that's so awesome about your son not only taking notice of how hard you're working, but he wants to make changes now also. Kudos to you.

We are doing g ok. Some complete moron came round and nailed a wooden board complete with jagged edges to the floor over the hole then tracked wood and splinters through my house but luckily my kids were bare foot and didn't get hurt or I'd have been a lot madder. God knows when they will fix it now after we move I'm guessing. We have been at new house since yesterday anyway just going back for what we need. Two seventeen hour days so far and I'm so exhausted bit my fitbit loves it
