Logging workouts

Do you log your workouts in up? I walk 4 miles at 60 mins, if I just let it count my steps than I get less burn calories than if I logged it as a workout. I am almost to goal weight and wanted to use this for maintaining.
Thanks an advance.

I've maintained for almost a year. I never log any step-based activity, period. I only log non-step exercise (like yoga, swimming, biking), and I only log in UP—never MFP.
It'll take trial & error to find what works for you.0 -
I do just for the activity tracking...(using my timer function) I like to see the workouts....I typically choose "in the zone" for those walks (pretty fast walks of 4mph) or moderate for 3 mph...etc.0

Thanks. This is what I was referring too. If I log it as activity I get a bigger calorie burn than if I just let it do regular steps.
I am just a couple pounds away from goal so as stated above I will just do trial and error. Thanks to both for responding!
