Any masculine eyes reading this, you've been duly warned.

For those of you who don't know, I'm in my early 50s so I'm going through The Change. Actually, I'm not minding it much. Hot flashes give me an excuse to buy pretty hand-fans and I had insomnia when I was young so having the occasional sleepless night now is more par for the course than anything else.

But I was sooooo close to being done. I mean, July 4th was going to be my Independence Day. Yes, that's how close I was to having gone an entire year without the fuss and both of pads and tampons.

Yesterday, was Tuesday and I did a new ab workout. All afternoon I was thinking "Wow! That ab workout really has me feeling sore. I must have really needed that workout." That wasn't DOMS! That was cramps! Yes, I forgot what cramps feel like.

FYI, they still hurt even when you haven't had them for months!

Let's not forget the morning headache! And the breakouts. And the bloating. You know those weird pounds I've been gaining and the inches that have been creeping back up on me? Care to wager on where those are coming from?

And please don't get me started on what I had to deal with when I got out of bed this morning. I guess I'll be scrubbing down my bathroom later today. Fingers crossed, my sheets are okay because wouldn't you know it I thought it would be a good idea to buy some white sheets finally.

*sigh* I was sooooo close to freedom. I'm going to take something for the headache now and go exercise because payback's a *kitten* and my body really pissed me off this morning. Gonna work off some of my wrath. Muahahahaha!

On the plus side, now you are fairly certain WHY the pounds and inches were creeping back on. And chances are, they'll drop right back off next week.

I didn't realize until the last few days that the last week of this round will be TOM. I'm hoping that hormonal bloat doesn't mess with my results.

I'll know Saturday morning. I usually do my weekly weigh-in on Sunday but Saturday I have a feeling I'll be having a treat meal (or two) so I may want to count my Saturday as my weekly weigh-in. Normally my treat falls on a Sunday so it doesn't impact my weigh-in.

And there's a perverse part of me that's fascinated by the fact that MFP decided to censor what I wrote. Makes me want to write a lot of naughty words and see which ones get filtered.

@sarahrbraun excellent point, the hormonal fluctuations could definitely be causing the weight gain. Fingers crossed for a big WHOOSH this weekend, @SatiaRenee !!
