While I am by no stretch of the imagination a Trek guy (quite the opposite in fact, generally speaking), this leaked photo of what's apparently the new Madone 9 is making me rethink that stance.

Doesn't appeal to me, I am happy with my earlier Madone in blue/gray.

My Madone 6.9 is not happy about this! :/

Looks really cool though. Have to check them out when they come around to my LBS.

Nice. Fantastic color. It looks fast. I bet it's sweet ride.
I have a"classic" Trek, probably from back in the early 90's. It's a 2300, one of the first composites. The forks are aluminum the rest is carbon fiber. It was produced back in the day when they didn't make the clip-in pedal attachments, but had these enormous flat-bottomed cages for the rider's feet. I had it "modernized" to my taste, including installing the clip-in pedals, aero-bars, new seat, new gear system (the old one was shot). I am riding it in the pic to the left, during the biking part of a triathlon. Didn't cost close to any of the prices mentioned even with the upgrades. But as any Trek, it is a sweet ride, and it is a Trek.

Pretty sure anything coming out of Waterloo will be way more than that

That is the STARTING price for them. I'm certain they will have higher end models available.

I remember test riding one of those back then. It was really nice, but I went for an Aluminum Klein Quantum II with a carbon fork (just the opposite).

Man, I thought the Venge was ugly... looked like a dog taking a crap with that "hunched over" toptube, but the new one's not just been hit with the ugly stick, it's fallen from the top of the ugly tree and hit every branch on the way down.
