Good morning ladies and gents. Hope this finds everyone well. I stayed up last night watching the Warriors beat up on LBJ and the Cav's. I'm not a LBJ fan, so I was excited. I'm a bit tired this morning (close to afternoon). I actually just took a caffeine pill as I shouldn't be drinking soda nor coffee. Plus I can't stand the taste of coffee, but I must admit, I miss my mountain dew terribly. I am trying very hard to kick my carb addiction. Trying being the key word there. I'm excited to be off this weekend and not really have any concrete plans so I can concentrate on kicking the carb addiction. I'm getting a LOT of great info from the LCHF group.... Carly's friendship is a gift from GOD, :D she is so helpful. I am trying to drink more water with lemon also... got to go to the farmer's market this weekend and get more lemons. The mix ins are playing with my emotions. LOL.

I am also going to set up a work out schedule this weekend and schedule my workout time as me time. I want to get back to Zumba. I miss it and I think it is about time to do it.

Things are a bit stressful here also. Reggie's last day of work is today. He is being laid off from his job. He plans on returning to school for some type of social work. He's been on the streets, gangs, jail..... you name it and is hoping to help trouble youth stay off or get off the streets. I've been helping him with his Fasfa application.... Things are ok, just very stressful. And we all know, stress wants comfort foods and my comfort foods are CARBS. UGH!!!! I'm trying so hard to change this. I plan on getting my mom to make a cheesecake, no crust, this weekend. YUM!!!

I also started my cycle yesterday at work... such a pain in the *kitten*. I think that is contributing to me being tired and moody, almost miserable right now. (I know TMI). I supposedly gained 3 lbs in the last week, I know thats all water from my cycle, so I am not to concerned about that. I am trying to just post my weight one time per month. So the little variations don't drive me batty. It's not a far drive for me to go batty. LOL.

Sorry for the ramblings.... just trying to be accountable.

With that lemon, add a bit of pink himalayan or other quality salt, and it becomes an electrolyte drink. Tiny bit of sweetener if it weirds up the taste.

Thank you. It still is so weird to me for people to say I'm helping them so much... But thank you.

WARNING - working out before you are adapted will not work. Once you adapt, your energy will come back. Usually a good 3-4 weeks. You can try, but don't be surprised if you are dead worn out 1/4 of the way in.

Cheesecake is good - but NO SUGAR. Fake stuff only... Xylitol is supposed to taste the most like sugar, but it tears my tummy up. Good luck whatever you try. (I do cream cheese, butter, vanilla, and a tad of sweetener for the clouds or cream cheese, butter, and SF jello - but I hate the dyes...cream cheese butter vanilla and a tiny bit of berry puree...)

Nearly everyone low carbing gains with their cycle then whooshes after. Headed out of work for the day which means out of internet until Monday.

    Hugs to all!

    I agree, Cari--Carly is a GIFT!

Good luck on the carb cutting. It isn't easy but will quickly become habitual.

I am less fuzzy today than I was yesterday. I have been hit and miss with my tabs this week and think its messing with me as I spent a good portion of yesterday afternoon asleep then was in bed for 830pm. Today was bright though for 11 hours sleep though still tired. However, Ive majorly cut my caffeine intake which might be a factor. A few more days should see me right hopefully.

Today we have pottered mostly. We got some blue polka dot fablon and butterfly handles for the girls wardrobes with the plans being to renovate them sunday as well as put up C's wall stickers - we did A's last night and the effect on her room is beautiful will have to post some pix when done. We also went to the garden centre for pots and plants. Our garden is a bit barren but now we have a lovely Sunflower for A, C has star petunias, Mr J has a pot of poppies and I have some African daisies. In the kitchen I also have a lovely orchid and a farmhouse jug full of roses I cut from the bushes in the garden. Feeling quite content in our new home and space
