This might be a "you had to be there" story. But, we took our boys fishing for the first time this past weekend. Just a moment after my nine year old accomplished his first solo cast, he got something!! He was SO excited!! We were all excited!! But he didn't have the strength to reel it in, so the hubby stepped in. He also struggled, and then after a bit he reeled in my sons first catch ~ a 6 foot tree branch! :laugh:

Father and son posed proudly with the fishing rod and that branch for a photo :glasses: People nearby were amused, too. One woman said "I just LOVE moments like these! I''m so glad we got to witness that" :laugh:
