This weeks discussion;

I know you will have loaded your information into the program correctly, I am interested to know how your targets work out in comparison to figures that i have calculated ( for myself I found there was a slight difference ) and then what you are actually achieving and at what price i.e. cravings, pangs etc.

    I think the best way to know how many calories we are all burning is to get a HRM. Because we all burn calories at different weights. I think here at MFP they have averaged it according to what weight you are when you start then whenever you lose 10 lbs they ask you if they can recalculate your goals for you. If that makes sense :)

    It does make sense, the reason I ask is I felt the calculations for protein requirements left me feeling a little down by the end of the day, especially if we were throwing weights around or doing hard cv workouts. I adjusted mine away from the 40;30;30 a little and it worked for me.

    Mine is custom as well. I think depending on what people are looking for adding muscle, losing weight, lowering blood pressure, blood sugars etc. the custom levels are the way to go.
