Quick HR question

Is HR a bad choice for someone who has a job with a lot of typing? I don't know if it will mistake keystrokes or other desk job arm movements such as reaching over to answer the phone as steps.

I had a Fitbit Flex for a couple of years, then upgraded to the Charge HR a couple of months ago, and I do a whole lot of typing. I lost the weight & have maintained for a year, so my burn is accurate.

Steps & burn are two totally different things. Steps are just a metric. I get "steps" typing, and miss steps pushing a shopping cart. Don't overthink the accuracy of your step count.

I agree with the above. I am typing on the keyboard all day. It will even out in the long run.

It's not wrist movement, it's impacts that appear could be steps.

Device actually is trying to discern impacts despite wrist movement. So even if steps are seen, they'd be seen as so short you'd get barely any calories extra from them.

So slamming the phone down should probably be seen as a step. -;0
