In addition to your regular workout routine walk a mile today. Ask someone to go with you...if possible! This is what our ancestors did...walk! Everywhere! My mom tells me how they ate biscuits daily but they could because they walked to church, school and store. So get those legs a moving!

Walking is an excellent exercise to boost your Total Daily Energy Expenditure without really being considered exercise.

Sometimes, walking is a good way to clear your head out if you've got something you need to work out. When I'm troubled or have something on my mind, I get outside to get some fresh air, clear the cobwebs out, and sometimes figure out what I need to or at least get other things out of my head so I can work on that problem

Does walking behind a lawn mower for a couple hours count?

I don't see why mowing the lawn wouldn't count (can't say for myself, since haven't done it since I lived at home, I've been in either an apartment or a condo since I moved out on my own and the management company hires a lawn service)
