Newport oregon is one of my favorite places to be. The farmers market is a fun thing to do saturday morning and its fun to walk the beach when the weather is not too rainy

    I would have to agree, Lincoln City has some great beach access as well.

    For those without ocean access...Lake Roosevelt, Spring Canyon....spent many summer days there...not as crowded as some other lakes..

    Southern coast....probably because I live there. But the ports are picturesque, the waves come crashing in and the sand is wonderful under your feet.

    I have been as far south as Florence and have seen the dunes which are btw beautiful. One of these days I would love to have the time to drive 101 to california
