Syncing Issue

Don't know why my other post was removed but I am still in the negative and don't earn any extra calories from exercise. If I went by Fitbit's site on how many calories it gives (not the burn), should I subtract 250 - 500 from that or is already at a deficit? Hope this makes sense.

Your Fitbit burn is TDEE. Subtract 250 calories for every 25 lbs. you're overweight.0

I feel a need to clarify. editorgrrl is right that your Fitbit "burn" is an estimate of your TDEE, but when it comes to figuring out how much you have left to eat for the day (since you can't go by what MFP says due to syncing problems), you're probably looking at the "left to eat" tile (Food Plan tile) on Fitbit. That ISN'T your TDEE and you don't want to subtract another 250-500 calories from that. It already has your deficit subtracted.0

To clarify: I meant subtract 250 calories for every 25 lbs. you're overweight from calories burned.0

OP, have you contacted MFP about your sync problem?
• Delete both apps.
• Restart your device.
• Reinstall the apps.
• Connect your accounts at http://www.myfitnesspal.com/fitbit
• Enable negative calorie adjustments in your diary settings.
• In the MFP app, go to More > Steps and choose Fitbit.0 -
I just emailed MFP. I deleted both apps, waited a while and reinstalled both, connected my accounts, and have enable negative calorie adjustments checked and have steps checked on the MFP app. Thanks for the suggestions and trying to help. Much appreciated.0

Whenever there's a known syncing problem, MFP's tech team posts an announcement. You can get there via the "Help" link at the top right of every page: https://myfitnesspal.desk.com/customer/portal/topics/799774-announcements-from-our-tech-team/articles
Also, plenty of people will post threads here in the group. But there's no known issue right now, so hopefully your problem can be fixed.0 -

If you do fix the problem, please come back here & say what you did. It might help someone else with the same problem. Thanks!0
