New to Group

Hey there!
I'm new to the group specifically and to MFP in general. I've poked around it before but just started using it seriously. I've finally decided to get off my *kitten* and get in shape to: take my riding to a higher level, feel better, stave the diabetes and heart disease in my family, and improve my strength to weight ratio.
I've been a cyclist for four years. I started on road as a way to meet new people when I first moved to the Bay Area and got addicted. About a year later I tried mountain biking and never looked back! I'm mostly a downhill lover but do enjoy a challenging technical climb. I still ride road occasionally and participate in the Tour de Cure and Levi's Gran Fondo. On the mountain side I've recently started racing Enduro and am doing the full California Enduro Series.
I'm excited to meet others on this journey who love riding like I do!

Welcome and pleased to virtually meet you. I am a roadie with no MTB action what so ever, never had the opportunity to try it. Where I live it is pancake flat so that doesn't help much either.
Not sure if you have looked at the http://community.myfitnesspal.com/en/group/3764-century-plus-cycling
Also full of bike nuts.
If you are interested in partaking in a virtual TDF have a look at http://community.myfitnesspal.com/en/discussion/10139694/2015-mfp-grand-tour-challenge-signup-and-discussion-thread/p1

Hi, I'm fairly new to cycling too - got my name down for the london surry 100 which is fast approaching with my longest cycle of 50 miles and time wise I'm just about infront of the sweep up vehicle eeek. Enjoying it tho - apart from the hills :-/0

Hi! I MTB almost exclusively as well. Not skilled enough for Enduro (yet?) but I just started racing XC.0
