It was amazing in the fact that for HOURS people drove in the left lane and didn't use blinkers. LOL!0

Hi Flo
I figure the lack of blinkers is due to laziness and a I do not want to wear out the turn signal switch or bulbs
I was always amazed that in the middle of the night how often I would be on a three lane highway and only two cars on the stretch and one would be tailgating the other one
There was a near accident on the road as I was walking today. I heard the Loud Screech as one car stood on the brakes when the other car turning left cut way over into his lane. Without good reflexes there would have been a head on collision. And the sad part is there was plenty of room for both on that street. It was just a case of cutting the corner to tight. As the other car drove on obliviously I could see the cut off driver shaking his head side to side.
There was a statistic on the news the other day saying that 1 in 10 drivers on the road in this area is DWI behind the wheel. I'm not sure I completely believe it.
Cheers
Roger

I know what you mean, Roger.
I don't know if you read my previous post in another thread or not, but 2 weeks ago, the same thing happened to me when traveling in a blinding rain storm with significant flooding. The guy in the outside lane decided he wanted my lane. Anyway, he started to merge forcing me in the oncoming traffic to avoid the collision as I was also trying to navigate the flooding.
I was the one shaking my head ... as well as the rest of my body shaking.0 -
I've noticed that when people put their blinker on, they think they can just go over into the next lane even thought it is not safe to do so. My daughter calls it "Putting on their force field." As long as the blinker is on nothing will happen to them.0

LOL! Your daughter has it right, Joanne. LOL!0

⚠️ San Antonians don't do that blinker thing. I think we rank in the top 3 for number of drunk drivers (I do believe that!) and...lots of unstable folks pack in' heat.0

I don't really know if I've outright smiled today, but I did just now seeing your pic, Sue.0

Hi Flo
I did not see that one. There are some scary people out there. It seems like weekly we see a news item about someone that hit the gas instead of the brake and drove into a store. And lots of Hit n Runs in NYC, NY.
Cheers
