Hi everyone! This is my first post on the VSGer group. I had surgery 02/24/15 and I am down about 70 lbs now.
I've started the couch to 5k and I am at the end of week 4.

I am pretty busty (40DD) and I need a good sports bra (a racerback one) that will hold the girls in place, while I run, THAT WONT GIVE ME THE UNIBOOB LOOK. I have an Enell bra that does this and it works well (its like a harness though, LOL) but it gives me the uniboob AND its not racerback so I cant wear my tanks with it.

Anyone have any recommendations for a good racerback bra that wont have me bouncing all around while running?

Thanks,
Aimee

Champion has several sportsbras that work great. They are underwire and some are even duo layered for extra support. Look at the rates (Moderate, High and Maximum support and what correlates to your bra size). I prefer the double layer. The second layer even has 3 or 4 adjustments so you can get a perfect fit. They offer great support even for kickboxing. I'm a 38DDD.

I also like the champion bras for their combination of support and price, however, I always wear 2 sportsbras when I workout. I'm a 40h (or I was, I'm probably a 38/36g or ddd now) and it is necessary. I prefer for at least one of them to be a champion bra that has a little foam padding in the front - it just seems to keep them in place better. Then I wear a regular single layer one over that ind it works pretty well.

I've heard that if you have the funds, the frog bra is def. the way to go though.

I love my Champion duo dry racerback from Target. I also like Moving Comfort--I have a Juno and a Rebound Racer. The Champion separates better, but isn't as good for motion control. The MCs give great motion control but a little more uniboob. I'm between a 38 DD and a 36 DD (probably really a 36DDD), down from a 42/44 DDD, so I'm buying new bras fairly frequently at this point. Honestly, comfort is way more important to me than cute--and all of these are a million times cuter than my old Enell (which was SHINY, OMG) from back in the late 90s, lol. Running bras have come a long way, baby!

I love champion now and when I was larger. Go to their web page, they have a bra fitter.

i bought a Victoria's secret sports bra..called VsX...its racer back..amazing support, so comfortable..i bought a 38DD and i also got the extender because when i bought it i was a 40DD as well...much smaller now and it still fits..on my last row of hooks though so gonna have to go buy another..but it made me through losing 70 lbs! kinda pricey, best to get them during sale times or with a coupon (i think they have a sale going on now) but its in perfect condition still, and i use it about 4x a week for the last 4 months

Brooks has a line of sports bras Moving Comfort I think, They have a wire in the one I bought. I've tried alot of sports bras on and then ran in place fast in the dressing room to see if they would work or not and this is the only one that passed the test. Comfy enough to wear all day long too and no Uni Boob! The style is Maia kinda pricey but worth it. Enells are expensive too and just trying to put that thing on wore me out! LOL

Brooks has some great pricing and free shipping on Moving Comfort, too! My favorite Rebound Racers are $30--they're normally $50, so a great deal. :)

I'm with duffslove and do the Victoria's Secret bra myself- I LOVE it. The one I have has a hook in the front with a zip over it so I feel secure in it and it solves the DIDTHISGETSMALLERWHENIGOTSWEATYLETMEDISLOCATEMYSHOULDERTOGETITOFF issue lol

However it is a bit pricey so when I get my new one soon I will get it a bit snug. I'm a 38dd tho I suspect it's a bit smaller now
