Good morning!
Kids are at grandma's so I'm going to stop by Nashua nutrition on my way to work this afternoon. They offer a ton of samples of various things. Surgery is Monday. So I'm hoping to stock up on a variety of things to use post op to see what I like.
So what's your favorite? I've used body fortress (don't love the aftertaste) and am currently using premier. Love the strawberry!
Thanks for your help and all your inspirations!!

I am not a fan of Body Fortress. I really like Cellucor protein powder and the Quest protein powder. I like the Premier Protein read-to-drink protein drinks a lot. I like the HealthSmart hot chocolates and soups. Of the soups, I prefer the cream of chicken and cream of tomato. Nashua has a lot of different options for protein bars for you to try as well. It's a great idea that you are getting samples, because your tastes can and probably will change post surgery. Congrats and good luck to you!

I use the premier protein ready to drink and I also occasionally use quest protein powder (very rarely) . But I have found that I really like quest protein bars (mint choc chunk and vanilla almond crunch are my favs) and also choose the quest salt and vinegar chips occasionally also. You can request 2 samples of the protein powder and protein bars from quest if you go to their website and then instant chat a representative. Also, NuGo nutrition will send you a sample and right after surgery I also enjoyed the Unjury chicken soup protein broth, warm liquids were easier on my tummy to sip..and you can buy it in sample packs from them at their website. And if you have a Max Muscle store near you or a store that sells max muscle protein you can go into the store and they will let you sample all of their protein powders, many flavors but kinda pricey..Good luck in your new life journey :)

I've struggled with powders since my surgery- the texture of Unjury (which was fine for my preop diet) just makes me gag. I just ordered MuscleGen powder yesterday on the recommendation of people in here and am hopeful I can use it to boost my protein without gagging.

I only like Syntrax Matrix or Nectar. I like chocolate truffle, Caribbean cooler, crystal sky, twisted cherry, peanut butter cookie and strawberry.

My favorite is the Syntrax nectar cappuccino. I put it in my coffee almost daily. I love nashua nutrition. You can buy a sample of any of the powders as well as give you free samples with your purchase. I sent you a friend request. You are in my neck of the woods :) Best of luck with surgery

I'm with Janet, my favorite is also Syntrax Nectar products, especially the Cappuccino flavor. I have recently used the GNC Lean products and they are OK, but Syntrax has a better flavor selection. Right after surgery I couldn't drink the protein shakes, they were just too sweet and thick. I lived on the Unjury chicken and beef broths for weeks after surgery. Not as thick and not sweet. They worked great for me.

I'm at the tail end of my two week pre-surgical diet right now and the Syntrax Unflavored in Pacific Organic Foods Bone Broth has been a life saver. I had hardly gotten through two days before I thought I was going to lose my mind with all the sweet.

In addition, using coffee to make my Bariatric Advantage shakes really helped tone them down and make them bearable.
