my up2 has unpaired/lost connection 3 times this past week. Going to do a soft reset tonighy when im at home, but my question is: it unpaired/lost connection while i walked to work, will it still count my steps and sync later? Or is it lost for the day?

If your UP2 is functioning correctly, it will store your data until the next time it syncs with the UP app. But if the app can't find your band because it's dead, you've lost your data.

I keep the charger in my bag at all times for just such situations.

I charged it yest has a full battery. Its really random when it unpairs. Usually im home when it happens but not today. I think about carrying the charger but doubt id have time to try and pair it at work - the second i turn my pc on i have line ups infront of me. I hope it does store the data though.

I meant I carry the charger so I can reset the band, not just recharge it. And no computer required—just a USB converter. I use the one from my iPhone.

Have you contacted Jawbone customer service? My UP24 had problems syncing with the UP app right before it died.

I haven't contacted them yet. Last time I did it took them almost 2 weeks to email me back. I can't quite call during their business hours easily because of my work schedule. If it indeed dies I'll have to for sure. I'm hoping the soft reset I just did solves this odd pairing issue though. Seems strange that it just unpairs itself - I wonder what causes that...
