I just got my jawbone up last week and its the first firness tracker ive ever had. Im pretty much obsessed with it except one thing bothers me. I walk/jog about 4 miles or 50 mins every morning and then every other day do some circuit training with calisthenics. whenever I used to log my workouts manually it wud say I burned like 4 or 5 hundred calories for the running and somewhere around 2 or 3 for the circuits. Well my jawbone is telling me im burning like 1000 to 1200 calories and I guess that seems like an awful lot to me and I have trouble believing I burned that many. Anyone else had this happen?

Your UP total burn is TDEE (total daily energy expenditure), the calories necessary to maintain your current weight.
The only way to gauge the accuracy is to enable negative calorie adjustments in your diary settings, trust your UP for a couple of weeks, then reevaluate your progress.0 -
What effort level are you choosing in the up app when you log the exercise? Play around with that setting to what feels right for you is my suggestion. I had to play with that a bit for when I'd log weight training and whatnot.0
