Hello,
I've just started exercising and doing Leslie's videos a couple weeks ago. I'm quite big - I am 5'5" and 275#. Is there a way to estimate how much I'm burning? I have downloaded a pedomiter app on my phone and it says I'm burning 300+ by my steps but I know we do more than just walking with her videos. I downloaded endomondo app and picked the 'aerobics' category it said I burned 830 calories when I did the video last night but that seems a bit high. Right now I am doing her Start! Walking at home 2 mile walk. Any suggestions on how much I should record? I read an article by Leslie saying people burn an average 100 calores per mile with her vids but I am guessing that is for people a lot thinner than I am. Thanks in advance for any replies!

Under cardio (here on MFP) - use low impact aerobics. I have a HRM, and for me this is pretty close.

Yes - I think the 100 calories per mile is for smaller people too... I'm 5'5" (145) and 100 is good for straight up cardio (I can do a little better with weights).

Thanks yes i found aerobics low impact and for 35 min it said 364 calories so I logged that for my work out yesterday. Maybe someday I can get a monitor it's just not in the budget right now!
