Today is the day to work muscles you can't see without mirrors. People have all walks of life have been working these muscles since big, ugly, sweaty men were beating on drums, making slaves in chains row galleys into war. We've been doing them for a long time. So maybe we should too. Weather you want to do it heavy or as part of a cardio routine is up to you. Here are a few options:

Cardio:
If, by some stretch of the imagination, you own a scull: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gQMaxr-gxp0
Or if you own a scull for multiple people: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2Ejp-HJJ1B8
More likely, you have access to a gym with a rowing machine: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H0r_ZPXJLtg

Weights:
Machine rows: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8MKGArS7w7c
Cable rows: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jzf_IMgQ1Zc
Dumbbell bent over rows: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pYcpY20QaE8

Thanks! I was just thinking about that yesterday.

By the way, we don't have the typical rowing here - no long, deep rivers. We do have dragon boats though.

I love rowing! Well, on a machine that is! LOL! My one gym has none at all and my other dump of a gym has one so old that I pray when I get on it that it don't pop! Sad sad sad! You inspired me to go this week to get back on it.
I hope when they renovate the gym they put new ones in...I really like the row machine...more interesting then some of the other cardio machines.

Last night I actually did bent over rows. Perhaps this counts. No rowing machine here.

I did rows in the water today with foam barbells(they are equal to 8lbs on land) I love what they do for shoulder blades and backs.
