I answered on the other post, but I would sort of feel around with it. The typical statement is 500 calories burned by breastfeeding. You could always set your MFP at maintenance (but you'd be burning 500/day with breastfeeding so 1 lb per week) and see if you lose or maintain. I am given 1800 to lose a pound a week at lightly active (5'6" 190 lbs) I more typically eat 1600 or so but I use those other calories if I am hungry and I eat back exercise (or most of it). I am going to see in a month if that was working (it seems to be, but just making sure it's not water weight, etc) and to make sure my supply isn't tanking (no complaints yet). I tried to make it more a move to healthier foods (which fill me up better anyway) instead of worrying too much about restricting calories - if I am hungry I try to pick something sensible, I drink lots of water, and I am just trying to be more active with my LO which she enjoys0

I went down to 1,500 calories and for me that was too low. I noticed a drop in supply, baby was insatiable and it took marathon feeding and more calories to build it back up. It's working well now around 1,800 - 2,000 calories. I've lost 13# in 6 weeks.0
