Anyone here going to do the Surly Trail Loppet? I'm thinking about signing up for the Half Marathon - the course looks really interesting (80% trail running). It's September 21st, so about 3 months to get ready.

    The only reason I am leaning towards the 25k is because it fits better with my marathon training schedule.

    The Half Marathon you are looking at looks like a great race!

    I did this 5K last year. The course was a lot harder than I expected, but it was a nice race, gorgeous day, lots of nice people, highly organized. It was definitely the most competitive race I have ever done- lots of super fit people running.

    I've been seriously debating this half marathon, but I have such little trail experience, I think it'd be wise to start on a flatter course. The beauty of the course is so tempting though... as is the Surly at the end :)

    Yeah I think I might be leaning towards the 13.1K - the next priority signup is july 31st, so I'll see where I'm at then and decide which one to do.
