I am recovering from surgery and can't do more than walk around the block right now. Any suggestions for exercise and eating. I know I need more protein to promote healing.

The most important thing when recovering from a surgery is to take it slow and consult your doctor about how quickly you can resume back your exercise routine. I believe a post-surgical fitness and exercise routine is important if you want a speedy recovery from any type of surgery. For example, during the first week you should do some light stretching to avoid muscle shortening during the healing process. Walking is the best idea, avoid all strenuous exercise until you feel ready then you can increase the intensity of your workout but remember to eat healthily during this period. Good luck and I hope you have a speedy recovery0
