Hi all, I'm sure that this has been asked a million times, but I haven't been able to find anything in the search. I have just bought myself a Jawbone UP24 and have sync-ed it with MFP and Runkeeper. I also have Runkeeper sync-ed with MFP.

What I am not sure about is if I complete a run whilst wearing my UP24 and tracking with Runkeeper (I like the updates to keep me at target pace), will both apps record this activity and end up adding double calories onto MFP?

Also, will the UP24 work on a treadmill? or do you actually have to be moving?

Thanks!!!

Your UP24 tracks any & all step-based activity, from treadmill to dancing to doing laundry.

I would disconnect RunKeeper from MFP and sync it with UP instead. (In the UP app, tap the 3 horizontal lines at top left, then go to Apps.) That way RK sends your info to UP, UP sends your TDEE to MFP, and MFP adjusts your calories accordingly.

Do not log any step-based activity. Log non-step exercise (like swimming or biking) either in UP (that's what I do) or in MFP—never both. Exercise logged in MFP overwrites your UP burn during that time.

If you want your UP exercise to appear in your MFP feed, post a status update. That way you get the best of both worlds—an accurate burn + likes.
